I'm here to redeem my words of commit previously. Few days ago, I did a promise that the cost for either ppl who staying or come-and-go will not be over $10.

However, the budget rise as the quality of food improved. Our caring organizer decided to take the 'meaty package (http://bbqwholesale.com/package-detail.php?id=26) instead of basic package (http://bbqwholesale.com/package-detail.php?id=6).

The BBQ fee increases from $178 to around $250. This is something out of my initial budget plan, therefore I apologize for misleading the thoughts of you guys. =)

Back to topic, I think the meaty package really look attractive and it is making my saliva drops. By paying a little more to make our stomach more fulfill. =p Hehehex.. long long time once =)

This is Jun Hong again!! In this very special day(Result releases), on be half of our 2nd class outing organiser, Mr Joshua, I'm here to share with you guys some useful information for this coming class outing. To save everybody time, I will jump straight to the point!

WHAT?

3 days 2 night chalet

BBQ on the first night

Cycling and games will be up to your choice

WHERE?

Downtown east Chalet (NTUC Chalet)

In between of Wild Wild Wet and Escape.

*** not the 'not so good' one in pasiris park.

WHEN?

COST?

This one need to be more detail. We devided the total cost into 3 parts.

The money we got $197

****** There are still afew people (inc me) who did not submit the full amount for class fund. $197 is excluded the money that 'supposed' to come in. In actual fact, we will at least have 210++. But we take the safest way to calculate first alright!

1. Accommodation

S$ 180 (including BBQ PIT, 1 standard chalet 3 days 2 nights)

How we gonna divide??! SAME AS LAST TIME, we are still waiting for people to comfirm.

I assume this outing will be like last time, around 20 people who show up.

191/20 = $9.55/person.

This is EXTREMELY cheap for a 3 days 2 nights chalet with BBQ!!

** For sure, its kinda unfair to ask those who not staying to pay for the full amount. So people who staying will have to pay slight more.

The rate will be:

staying = 1.5

Just bbq one day = 1

Simple calculation:

IF 12 staying and 8 not staying.

191/(12*1.5+8) = $7.34

This is for those who not staying and miss out the fun of chalet!!

7.34*1.5

$11 this is for those who staying and max up the fun of whole outing!

Well, it sounds pretty complicated! In fact, this is just for your information. I can 99% assure you that the amount you need to pay (staying or not) will be less than 10 bucks! **

Once the activity starts (bbq or play), we will take you as staying even you are not. Meaning you hv to pay 1.5 rather than 1.

After Event Reviews

Greetings,

The first NMS 0902 BBQ Outing was successfully held at East Coast Park on the 2nd of October 2009. Special thanks to a girl - Shari who made the effort to get the BBQ WholeSales for us. Not forgetting our treasurer, Ms Syafiqah. She did a great effort in collecting money and without her strong support, this outing would not be possible. Not forgetting all the CLASSMATES, who took the efforts to travel from all around Singapore/Malaysia and met up at East Coast Park.

We brought Frisbee, Kites, Cards, Candles... So that all of us could at least have something to play with. But we missed out BALL~ LOL! Seriously, if you guys/girls do have comments/suggestions. Please kindly post it on the tag box, 'name' can leave it as 'unknown'.

They were total of 21 people who came for this BBQ outing and 4 of others couldn't make it there. However, it is really impressive to have such amount of classmates to support this outing. Thank you so MUCH. =)))

There are always afew cliques of people in the class due to the different in our interests. But wasn't it nice to get the whole class together, having something special and 'celebrates' it together.

Craps aside.

Well, it will be quite critical as the people who comfirmed me are 15 pax. Because if we are getting food from service provider, it is either 10pax or 20 pax package. So, if the strength on the event day is around 15, then I will order for 10 pax and get some food from NTUC. If not, it will be cheaper to get 20pax food from the Provider if our strength is more than 15pax.

Now, next thing to settle. Time, location, meeting point.
Time for the BBQ session would be 4pm, any objection? Of cause, some people have to come early to prepare.

Location. Not possible for me to tell you the exact place where the BBQ pit located. So instead, we will meet up at 7-11 of ECP and go there together. Its quite near to the shopping area. Don't worry.

Meeting time. I think it would be good if you guys can adjust it yourself. So long as you can be there roughly around 4pm.

For the meeting point, anything/anyway you like~ As long as you will be there and won't get lost in this red dot. But just for information in case some of you need it...

Meeting point. So far I got 3 points on my mind.
- Eunos MRT station, 15-20mins away from ECP. For those who do not have direct bus to ECP.
- 7-11 located beside the shopping mall - Parkway Parade, the nearest bus stop to ECP. for those who do not know how to go ECP alone.
- 7-11 located in ECP, the only one. For those who taking other transport.

The estimate timing:
- Eunos MRT need to meet there at around 3pm( latest).
- 7-11 (PP), around 3.30pm (latest)
- 7-11 (ECP), 4pm sharp.

This is JunHong, here to update you guys important info regarding this coming event.

3 things to finalize and settle.

We had decided to find a vendor to provide us with all the neccesary stuff for BBQ. Check out this website http://bbqwholesale.com/itempackage.asp

Its really 10%-30% cheaper than usual price which you can easily found in NTUC. The order must be made 3 days before the actual event.

A risk that you guys might need to think about.
Weather.
Althought I will be checking the forecast before I placed the order. But weather is just like women, unpredictable. So, we have to take certain risk. Due to my current part time job, I checked the weather forecast everyday. Honestly, its not really accurate. But we can still tell roughly how good/bad is the weather.

Ya, I need to hear from you guys. ANY OBJECTION? Don't be affraid of telling/asking anything. That's your right, coz its your money.

As for the money. Lets be transparent. So far, the expecting 'guests' are roughly about 13pax. The rest of them I still didn't hear from them yet. Will double check before the deadline.

School will pay 4 bucks for each person who present.

As for classfund, each of you (had/will) paid up 8 bucks. So we got 12 bucks per head.

As for the BBQ package, we will take the 10pax one (11bucks per head).. As the amount of foods are really alot. However, we will still went down to NTUC get somemore food to make sure that all of you gt your stomach filled on the actual day.

So... The questions are here! Are you guys willing to pay alittle bit more to have a decent food? Not more than 5bucks, don't worry. I'm sure its not a huge amount. If we got any objection, then instead of getting vendor. We will head down to NTUC instead, get those basic BBQ food. It will be slightly cheaper, but the choice of food are alittle lesser.

Whatever I mentioned here, just take it as for information first. Still I really need to count the strength before making any decision.

OLA classmates! Am here to give more infomations regarding the outing/camping we'd be having next month on the 1st.

I've already applied the campsite permit through NEA and Junhong is on his way collecting the receipt. Missy me had book Area D be'cos it's near much convenient stores that are located at Area C. He'd be booking the BBQ pit too at the AXS Machine so...the location is much settled (:

Next comes to food. This is what I have in mind :

Since its a 2day1night camp, we won't be bringing much clothing's right? So, we'd go to the supermarket, grab what we want, pay and then proceed to the camp site and set up everything. OR. We can go set up our tent and stuff and ride bikes/walk to get our BBQ stuff. You guys decide, we'd take option according to majority (:

After JunHong tally the amount of people going for the BBQ, we can then decide on the amount of food we should get. You guys choose between shopping at supermarket or get BBQ catering package, that way...we can not fred about what to buy and stuff 'cos it'd be delivered. You guys have the last call. :D

I'm informed that all the others girls except for me won't be staying overnight, so guys, you can occupy the tent for all you want 'cos I'd not be sleeping...I think. Don't have to worry about "ladies 1st " at night ( if you guys bother to be ). Haha, JunHong would agree 'cos I doubt I'm lady like. Haha :D

For what to bring, you guys should be experienced enough to know, I think? If you don't, let missy me tell you (:

Those who are staying overnight : Sleeping bags (optional), torchlight(?), 2sets of clothings/undergarments( Depends on if you're doing anything wet. HAHA ), sufficient cash, showering barang barangs, whatever you need to survive through 2days.

Those who are NOT staying : Extra set of clothings, cash, towel, whatever you think you need.

And and and... for those who wants to consume alcohol/whatever. Bring them over if you have 'em or we'd chip in money to get it from supermarket or something. Cool with it?

Like what Junhong mentioned, there are no tight plannings or whatever. So if you want to play something like frisbee,volleyball, bring them over too! We won't be bored by then. HAHA.

And for the girls, if you'd like to take a dip into the not-so-clean sea water and you need bathings suits, tell me. But I doubt you girls want to wear mine. I'm just asking IN CASE. I have extra sets of Bikini (s)...

For the time of us meeting it be around 2pm - 3pm? Depending on how are we getting our food.

Hey this is JunHong again. Sorry for the late post, I just reach home not long ago. Well, really thanks a lot for those people who make the effort to email me or text me regarding this outing, appreciated! Special thanks to Fazly to typed a long email just to assure me whatever we are doing is on the path.

In this short and brief post, I will update the DATE of event and draft plan about this event.

Alright. To put it into not so nice way. I don't think it is nice for few of us who volunteer, to call up every single one of you who are not responding to this event yet. Its is like kind of 'forcing'? But I really really really appreciate if you guys can confirm me with your attendance. Because with the strength, then we can find out roughly how much we can spend.

We had set the date between 5,6 and 7 October. It will be 2 days 1 night 'camp'. For sure, those who don't wish to stay overnight can always go back at the end of our BBQ session. It will be either 5 OCT- 6 OCT OR 6 OCT-7 OCT.

Um.. I changed a new handset and lost 99% of my contacts. SYAFIQAH, contact me please. =D

For the program wise:

Location: East Coast Park

Time: Late afternoon

Considered those who cannot stay up till too late, we will be having our BBQ session at the late afternoon. So we will be very sure that everyone, who go back early or stay in will have sufficient time in front of BBQ pit. BBQ actually nothing much to talk about, just a gathering, game and eating session.

For those who stay in, we can rent the bicycle overnight. I checked out the price, its about 10-12 bucks for the whole night, after 7pm before 9am. So its pretty worth it. With that, we can 'run' around east coast, in fact... I don't mind cycle to Old Changi Hospital =PP Or Changi Village to see 'special species'. I tried that with my friends. Quite enjoyable to cycle around and talk cock during the journey. Hahahax... I heard some of you like fishing? LOL! Midnight, we got the whole night man~ -.-""

The next day... Games.... We can have Frisbee, Volleyball, Swim, flying kite... all sort of stuff -.-"""

These are just the outline of it, the details still need to talk about it later on. According to my experience, a tight and neatly plan is as good as bullshit... Change is the only constant, so no point for us to think about what to play, where to cycle to...this type of 'too detail' stuff...... This is a fun outing, lets don't frame it up and we can adjust it accordingly as things go... Yup~

Money issues:
All covered by Class Fund?
I can be assured you this: BBQ, you don't have to come out with a single cents, everything will come out from the Class fund.

How about other expenses like cycling?
Again. Depends on the strength that turn up on the actual day. If we still have some money after buying all the BBQ stuff, we will use that to 'subsidize' your renting fee. The amount of subsidization depends on the amount of money we left with.

How much you need to have in the pocket on that day?
If you are not staying overnight, you just need to prepare for your own transport. If you are, then I think 20bucks will be enough.

Not enough money?
Can borrow from me on the spot with 200% hourly compound interest.

Accommodation:

Place for me to sleep if I'm staying overnight?
I will bring a tent, depends on the size of grp, I will borrow from people or buy one - 20 plus plus plus each. If you do have one, please bring along.

Worst to worst?
Seriously, I don't think you want to spend your whole night sleeping. In fact, I think most people will be staying up to talk c***, play or cycling. Worst come to worst...

Why weekdays not weekend?

Simple, dump everything inside tent, take out valuable items, bring a lock, lock up the tent. I used to do that more than 2 hands time. went away for hoursss without lock, nothing happened.

Just for information hor!

Hey! New released Window 7 is download-able in the sch website. I'm running it, its really a thousand times better than Vista. Its cool, its fast..... Just open up the task manager and compared between Vista and Win 7. Win7, Without running any program, there are only a few system files are running. Win Vista, OMG whole list of them -.-"" How fast it runs? Erm.. Vista, download rate for mine is about 500kb/sec; Win 7.. omg.. sometimes I cannot even see the rate, it already done. Approximately is about 1-2mb/sec for my network.

Those programs can run in XP but not Vista are 'run-able' by Win7. It is sort of the combination of Vista and XP. I haven't try out Ibook and "cucumbers", but I think it works.... Anyway, I running both window in 2 separated partitions. =DDD

I really very very very impressed, so share share lah =D

Hey guys! I'm not sure how many of you still remember our class fund. Well, this may be a good news. I plan to have a class outing on one of these date: 6/9/09 - 19/9/09. Shari actually suggested to have a chalet at sentosa.

Depends on the strength of that day, if many of our guys couldn't make it, actually I prefer to pitch tent than book a chalet. We can cycle around Sentosa, swim, BBQ, frisbee, volley ball, night walk, blah and blah! Talk about the activity is still too early. Now, I really need your coorperation........

PLEASE READ OUR SCHOOL E-MAIL EVERYDAY
FROM NOW , BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE THE LATEST INFORMATION
ABOUT THE CASES OF H1N1 AND ALSO WHAT WE SHOULD DO.

Our holiday will be extended for one more week , that means our
common test will change to week 12 instead of week 11.
so week 11 (29 June to 5 July) will be e-learning for us.
so make sure you are at home from 8am to 1pm.

TIMETABLE FOR COMMON TEST:

MATHS : LTQ9 - (2PM - 3.30PM) - 29 JUNE
CHEMISTRY : LTQ11 - (4.30PM - 6PM) - 30 JUNE
MECHANICS : LTQ9 - (2PM - 4PM) - 1 JULY
PHYSICS : LTR1 - (4.30PM - 6PM)- 3 JULY

pls note that though the dates is during week 11 ,
all this common test will be on week 12.
just that the date will be different.

Church supporting Straits Times Pocket Money Fund via Musical. Wanna come???

Hi all,
my church Trinity Christian Centre is supporting the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund via a musical. It is religiously neutral, since it's the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund, so no worries for anyone who dosen't go to church. Yea.

So far, from what I know, the title of the show is "I have a Lot". It's a one hour (at least) musical, and is scheduled to be aired from the 25th to 27th June at my church, Trinty @ Paya Lebar (247 Paya Lebar Rd). Nearest MRT is Paya Lebar MRT station. Bartley MRT oso can, but have to take bus oso. I'm not sure on the time yet, but will let u all know once I have dat detail. The tickets are going for $15 per seat, and all proceeds go to the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund to help those kids who are in need.

The seats are sold on a first come first serve basis, so let me know as soon as possible so that I can buy the tickets and get a seat for u! Prefably via sms or e-mail. Tickets start selling this sunday! Thanks!

Btw, I'll be helping out as one of the crew during the event, so won't be able to watch the performance wif u all. :( But still hope u all will come! :) Will definitely meet u all after the performance. :D

Class outing? How about it?!

Hi everyone,

I was told to bring up this post this afternoon, but somehow I only manage to find a time slot this midnight. Well, purpose of writing this post is to gather opinions from our you guys(girls), see whether will you guys prefer to have some sort of outing every month. =) Who the hell told me that poly is full of life and stressless?! Where is our life man.. Well, we thought it will be good if we have outing like this. If there is no strong disagreement, we shall proceed right....

So! How is it going to be like? Everyweek, we guys(girls) have to 'donate' 2 bucks to our treasurer,ms syaf.. She will gather all the $$ and at end of the month we will organise some class outing then~ Eg: BBQ, cycling, roller blade, sentosa, blah and blah...

2 bucks, the power of 2 bucks.
1 week 2 bucks, 24 nano monster x 2 bucks = 48bucks/week, 4weeks x 48bucks = 192 messos!!
With that amount of messos, we can play maple with Samuel!! Zzzz
Well, I assume the regular absentee will not be joining~

So, 192 messos.. we can really do alot of stuff. All money stuff, item bought will be in black and white. NKF incident will never happen in NMS.=)
